MIS Information Needs

There are different levels of the organization and the information needs is different for thedifferent level.

  1. Organizational level
  2. Application level
  3. User level

1. Organizational level: information requirements define an overall structure for the information system and specific applications and database.
2. Application level: requirements include social or behavioral- covering work organization objectives, individual roles and responsibility assumptions, and organizational policies and technical, which are based on the information needed for the job to be performed.
3. At the user level: database requirement can be classified as perceived by the user or as required for physical design of the database.
