Describe the characteristics of graphical system.
Characteristics of graphical system :
- Sophisticated Visuals:
- It looks good! You can see drawings, icons, different fonts, and lots of colors on the screen.
- It can show animations, photos, and videos.
- It uses windows, menus, icons, and various controls to make things easy to understand.
- Restricted Options:
- You only see what you can do on the screen. Nothing more, nothing less.
- Pick-and-Click Interaction:
- You use a mouse to point and click on things.
- You can also use the keyboard to pick and click.
- Visualization:
- It helps you understand difficult information by showing it in pictures or graphics.
- The goal is to make information easy to grasp, not necessarily to make it look realistic.
- Object Orientation:
- Everything you see on the screen is an object that you can interact with.
- Objects can have smaller parts, like a document having paragraphs, sentences, and words.
- Recognition Memory:
- If things are always visible on the screen, it’s easier for you to remember them.
- You won’t forget things just because they are out of sight.
- Concurrent Performance:
- The system can do more than one thing at a time.
- Different programs can run together, and data can be shared between them.
- It’s like having multiple apps open on your phone at the same time.
