Why web user interface design difficult ?

Information Architecture and Task Flow: Designing a web interface involves structuring information and organizing the flow of tasks. However, these aspects are not easy to standardize, making it difficult to create universally applicable design principles.

Multimedia Complexity: The web offers various types of multimedia, and designers may find it challenging to resist using them simply because they are available. Balancing the use of multimedia elements without compromising usability adds another layer of difficulty.

User Variability: Users are diverse, and the tools they use to access the web vary greatly. This variability makes it challenging to create interfaces that work seamlessly across different devices and user contexts.

Poor Foundation and Haphazard Growth: The web interface design is hindered by its initial foundation and rapid, unplanned growth. This can lead to inconsistencies and difficulties in creating a cohesive and user-friendly experience.

Looking ahead, there is hope for improvement:

a. Maturity of Design Tools: As design tools evolve, they are expected to become more sophisticated and user-friendly, making the design process more efficient.

b. Guidelines and Research: With time, more research-based design guidelines will be available and applied, helping designers make informed decisions based on user behavior and preferences.
