1. What is IPSec?

  • IPSec is like a superhero for your internet connection, ensuring that your online communication is safe and sound.

3. What are the main features?

  • Authentication: Checks if the data is from who it claims to be.
  • Confidentiality: Turns your messages into secret code to prevent eavesdropping.
  • Key Management: Safely shares secret codes between the communicating parties.

4. How does IPSec work?

  • Transport Mode: Protects your direct conversations, like between you and a website.
  • Tunnel Mode: Safeguards communication between larger entities, like routers or between a computer and a network.

5. What are the secret codes (protocols) used?

  • Authentication Header (AH): Checks the ID of your data to verify its authenticity.
  • Encapsulating Security Payload (ESP): Wraps your data in a protective layer, keeping it safe from prying eyes.
